Dana Lanceman

Dana Lanceman (they/them) is a PhD researcher affiliated with the Project Halo team. Dana’s research focuses on quantifying the temporal and spatial scales of ecosystem service benefits of coastal wetland (mangrove and saltmarsh) restoration. Specifically, Dana’s research asks 1) how long do coastal wetland ecosystem services take to recover following restoration?; 2) how does the size and number of restoration sites impact ecosystem service provision on a catchment/estuary scale?; and 3) how genetically diverse and connected are tidally restored wetland sites? This research aims to inform future wetland restoration planning, implementation and monitoring. Dana loves exploring all facets of the natural world in their work and personal life, and is broadly interested in how everything is connected and inspiring others to be curious about nature.
