Callum Wainwright
- PhD Candidate
- University of New South Wales
Callum has been a PhD student with Project Halo since June 2026. Callum’s research focuses on understanding and predicting particulate matter air pollution across the South Pacific, particularly in Fiji, the Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu. His research aims to use low-cost air quality sensors to create high-resolution particulate matter concentration estimates across these countries. In addition, he aims to use this data to develop particulate matter forecasting models to provide advance warning of hazardous air pollution events. Through this work, Callum hopes to inform public health and air quality policy and improve health outcomes across the region.
