Deepitika is researching sustainable finance for the restoration and conservation of blue carbon ecosystems in Pacific Small Island Developing States. Her work integrates climate finance, policy analysis, and systems dynamics modelling to support long-term ecosystem restoration and sustainable development. She has over eight years of experience working with governments, regional organisations, and development partners across the Pacific on climate policy, governance, climate transparency, and greenhouse gas Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV). Within Project Halo, Deepitika contributes research on innovative financing mechanisms and decision-support tools that strengthen investment in blue carbon ecosystems and enhance the resilience of Pacific communities.
