Associate Professor Andrew Dansie

Dansie is an Associate Professor and Academic Lead, Humanitarian Engineering at UNSW specialising in large-scale environmental systems and international development to meet environmental and social needs. Dansie is an honorary research fellow at the University of Oxford, Editor-in-Chief for the UNESCO/Springer Nature book ‘Water, Energy and Food Security in the Pacific’, and a ‘Level-A World Class Expert’ with the UN FAO. He brings together over a decade of working for the United Nations with research and sees specific need for this research to improve progress towards global UN SDG targets and carbon goals while ensuring meaningful engagement, partnership, and benefit on the ground. He is excited to be working with such a collaborative and knowledgeable team and especially thrilled to support the incredible Project Halo PhD researchers at UNSW and USP to be the innovative leaders we need.
